About Us

Lakbyte was founded by Marian, a seasoned Philippine lawyer with extensive expertise in international law and immigration processes. She began her legal career at one of the Philippines’ top law firms, specializing in corporate and financial services law. Marian later served as Associate General Counsel for a Singapore-based company, managing legal operations across 30 countries spanning Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Driven by her passion for helping others and her knowledge of the growing opportunities for remote work, Marian founded Lakbyte with a clear mission: to assist Filipinos and other global digital nomads in obtaining citizenship and residency through the Digital Nomad Visa and other visa programs in Spain.

Since its inception, Lakbyte has successfully helped over 200 digital nomads from various countries, including the Philippines, USA, Australia, Canada, and the UK, to obtain their visas and residence authorizations.

How We Work

A Step-by-Step Guide to Our Process

Navigating visa applications and official processes in Spain can be complex. To make things easier for you, we’ve developed a clear and streamlined approach to guide you through every step. Here’s how we work:

Initial Consultation

  • Eligibility Check: We start with a consultation to assess your eligibility, answer your questions, and explain the next steps. We ensure you meet the requirements before moving forward.

  • Quote and Payment Plan:After the consultation, we provide you with a personalized quote, including the cost breakdown and details of the first installment. Once you make the first payment, we begin the process.

Getting Started

  • Personal Dashboard:After the first installment is paid, you’ll receive access to your own personal dashboard. This dashboard allows you to upload all necessary documents and track their status at a glance. You can see which documents are approved, rejected, or incomplete, helping you stay organized and up-to-date without needing to physically bring your documents anywhere.

Document Collection and Apostille

  • Document Collection: You may need to collect certain government-issued documents for your application. We’ll guide you through the process to ensure you have everything you need.

  • Apostille Service: If your documents require an apostille, we’ll assist you with the necessary steps to get them properly certified, making sure they meet the international standards required by Spanish authorities.

Final Preparation

  • Document Translation: Once your documents are collected and apostilled, we arrange for them to be translated by a sworn and accredited translator, ensuring they are accepted by Spanish authorities.

  • Document Compilation:After translations and apostilles are complete, we help you compile everything, including preparing cover letters, to ensure your application is fully ready for submission.

Submission and Results

  • Application Submission: Your completed application will be submitted either in person at the consulate or online if you’re applying from within Spain.

  • Approval Notification:Once submitted, we keep you updated on your application status and notify you as soon as we receive the decision.
